From fall to winter, and beyond

It's been a couple of months since my last post, eight weeks that have seen a lot happen: Too much to disclose here, in fact. The highlight was a trip to northern Italy that included a stop in Gattinara, a town whose history stretches back to the Roman era. It was memorable so far as it took me through countryside known to my medieval forebears. My own purpose in Gattinara was to visit Travaglini Gattinara, where the late fall weather cloaked the vineyards in a thick, moist mist.
